It's back, Picture's original PPU Anti-Flatspot Urethane!
After launching in 2005 in Brisbane, Australia we quickly learnt the struggles of being a small Aussie wheel company on the international skateboarding manufacturing stage.
As an Australian family brand of close knit Skateboarders, we wanted to create an Anti-Flatspot Urethane, proudly made in the USA for us Aussie's.
Our journey season on season had us constantly questioning the urethane we wanted. After false starts, manufacturing misunderstandings and learning all parts of the process we reached the wheels we wanted, but it was now 2011! Being a 6 year process we decided to call the Urethane Picture Perfect and PPU was born!
Fast forward a decade and the pandemic took away some of our manufacturing capabilities but also gave us time to revisit the idea of what Picture Perfect Urethane was to us, as an Australian skateboarding family. We've spent almost the last 2 years making some tweaks to the final finished look of the urethane, a better conical shape for both street & park and the way the wheel slides.
Also changing the logo to reflect the fact that we are proud to use the USA for our manufacturing of the urethane, to give the Aussie market the best quality wheel from our brand.
